Having brokers voluntarily disclose information about costs, commissions, and conflicts would be very helpful to the individual investor. I have had experiences in the past where brokers sidestep questions, refuse to answer, and generally treat the customer poorly.

The key here is to have voluntary disclosure and not expect the investor to have the right questions to ask.

Thanks for inviting input.
