As it regards SEC proposed new rules File number S7-06-04, I am requesting an extension of time to review and offer comments. From what I gather, these new rules could place an overwhelming burden on broker dealers, reps and investment advisers alike. I believe the SEC should be fair in allowing adequate time and extending a professional courtesy to the broker dealer community. I have been in this business for 20 years. I believe a lot of what the SEC has proposed in terms of regs and disclosures has served the investment community as a whole. However, I also believe there are regs which have overburdened us with needless paperwork and hampered with our ability to serve our clients effectively. Most of us out here are extremely ethical and wish to serve our clients best interest. The handful of those who do not will find away around whatever regs are brought forth to take advantage of people. I am urging to grant an extension of time to comment on these proposed rules.
