Teacher's Workshop  - June 13, 2009

Appomattox Court House National Historical Park is hosting a workshop for teachers. We are targeting 4th and 5th grade teachers, but anyone who teaches Civil War, US, or Virginia History at any level is welcome to attend.

What we’ll cover:

-SOLs

-Field trips to the park

-Lesson plans and classroom activities

-An overview of the Civil War in Virginia

-Guided tour of the park, including several ‘behind the scenes’ areas

This workshop will be worth 5 points of teacher re-certification

June 13, 2009 (Sat.) 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.
