US EPA Region 4 is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Southeastern United States.  The following list is comprised of useful links relating to general information on greenhouse gases, emission data, and efforts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

Federal

U.S. EPA Greenhouse Gas Emissions - The U.S. EPA's web site contains general information about greenhouse gasses (GHG), as well as GHG inventories, emission trends and projections.

Reactor Towers Releasing Steam

U.S. Department of Agriculture Greenhouse Gas Reporting - This web site contains General and Technical Guidelines for the voluntary reporting of GHG emissions, sequestration, and reductions.

EIA - U.S. Emission Data - The Energy Information Administration lists U.S. GHG emission data, as well as a broad collection of international emissions data.

EIA GHG, Climate Change and Energy Brochure - This brochure contains information and informative illustrations on GHG's, energy, climate change, and how they relate.

Pilot Programme on Greenhouse Gas Reduction - The WEC GHG Emissions Reduction Programme was launched in 2000 as an industry initiative led by the WEC to record, on an interactive electronic system, the projects in which the global energy industry is involved and the reductions in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions they are expected to achieve.

Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator - The Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator is designed to enable public and private sector organizations and individuals to quickly and easily translate greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions from units that are typically used to report reductions (e.g., metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent) into terms that are easier to conceptualize (e.g., equivalent number of cars not driven for one year).

World Data Centre for Greenhouse Gases - The World Data Centre for Greenhouse Gases (WDCGG) is established under the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) programme to collect, archive and provide data for greenhouse (CO2, CH4, CFCs, N2O, etc.) and related (CO, NOX, SO2, VOC, etc.) gases and surface ozone in the atmosphere and ocean, measured under GAW and other programmes.

IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme - IEA GHG is an Implementing Agreement of the International Energy Agency, and was founded in 1991. It is a major international research collaboration that assesses technologies capable of achieving deep reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.

Australia's National Greenhouse Accounts - Australia's National Greenhouse Accounts are a comprehensive set of reports outlining Australia's greenhouse gas emissions - as a nation, by state, and by industry.

Greenhouse Gas Technology Center: Southern Research Institute - The GHG Center locates promising GHG mitigation and monitoring technologies, subjects them to independent third-party performance testing, and provides performance results.

Greenhouse Gas Action Guide - This guide provides a menu of actions for municipalities to consider in the formation of their local initiatives and is compatible with other resources that facilitate municipal efforts to address climate change.
