Tools and Resources
A variety of tools, guidance and information resources are available to help state and local governments inventory their greenhouse gas emissions, analyze greenhouse gas emissions reduction opportunities and quantify the energy, environmental and economic benefits of lowering greenhouse gases. This compilation includes tools provided by EPA as well as other government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
The tools are organized into the following categories:
- State greenhouse gas emission inventories: In addition to providing data on state emissions, these pages provide information on analytical tools and guidance for estimating greenhouse gas emissions and developing inventories at the state and local levels.
- Analytical tools and data sources: These pages provide information on analytical tools and information resources to help state and local governments identify, evaluate, and design strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. - Case studies: These pages describe the broad range of approaches that state and local governments have used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions using a variety of technologies and program strategies.
