Objective:
To determine the agronomical performance and insect pest and natural enemy complex in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas for conventional and transgenic (glyphosate resistant) commerical canola varieties.
Approach:
The experiment will be in randomized complete block and three replications. Each plot will be 3 rows, 20 feet long (60 sq. ft.). The number of varieties will be 20. Total area: 4,320 sq. ft. It is suggested to plant seed at the top of the row. Make one irrigation 65 days after planting if needed. NPKS 120-40-00-20 can be divided at the initiation and before watering.
