Research Project: Monitor Habitat-Phase II

Objective:
To determine recovery of 3 different ecological sites 10 years following simulated disturbances and undisturbed treatments in order to provide a basis for habitat management and a reference for habitat monitoring.

Approach:
a) Continue monitoring established long-term monitoring plots on Holloman AFB and its geographically separated units and affiliated soil disturbance plots; b) Continue development of a model to support planning for sustainable military training; c) Interpret and extrapolate data for the long-term monitoring project.
