Research Project: Exploring the Phytochemicals in Imported Mango

Objective:
The objective of this cooperative research project is to determine the phytochemicals in mango fruit.

Approach:
Mangos from multiple harvests, varieties, and countries will be assayed for carotenoid content and quality. Information will be presented to the National Mango Board at their meeting. (Project cooperator J. Manthey, ARS Winter haven, FL).
