TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Employees, employers and their families from the Hudson Valley and greater New York City area are invited to attend the second Hudson Valley Safety and Health Fair, to be held Saturday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, N.Y. The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is co-sponsoring the free event with the Hudson Valley and Metropolitan chapters of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Construction Industry Council of Westchester and Hudson Valley Inc. The fair will feature safety and health workshops, health information and screenings, demonstrations, prizes and activities for children. "This fair is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend a day together having fun while also acquiring vital and useful information to help them guard their health and well-being on the job, at home and on the road," said Diana Cortez, director of OSHA's area office in Tarrytown.
