U.S. labor secretary to commemorate lives of lost workers during monument groundbreaking ceremony on Worker Memorial Day at National Labor College
Remarks will introduce OSHA's plans for worker safety as part of Recovery Act efforts

WASHINGTON -- As a Worker Memorial Day tribute, Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis tomorrow will commemorate men and women who lost their lives on the job during the groundbreaking ceremony for a monument at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Md.

In her remarks, Secretary Solis will unveil plans for the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to use American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds toward the enhancement and targeting of OSHA's enforcement activities.
