NYSE Euronext (NYX), the world's leading and most diverse exchange group, completed its acquisition of the American Stock Exchange® (Amex®), becoming the third-largest U.S. options marketplace and enhancing the company's leadership in ETFs, cash equities, closed-end funds and structured products. As a result, NYSE Euronext has begun to integrate amex.com content and data into the nyse.com website. Effective the close of business, Friday, January 16, 2009, amex.com will be phased out.
