Washington, DC - The three working groups of the
Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans will
convene via teleconference October 27-29, 2004, at the U.S. Department of
Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC to conduct final
discussions on the report and recommendations to be submitted to the
Secretary of Labor. |
The
Working Group on Fee and Related Disclosures to Participants will convene
on October 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Working Group on Plan Fees
and Reporting on Form 5500 will meet on October 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00
p.m. The Working Group on Health and Welfare Form 5500 will convene on
October 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. |
The
public is welcome to attend the meetings. On October 27, the meeting will
be in Room N5677 and on October 28 and 29, the meetings are in Room
S4215-C. Public comments also may be submitted by October 20 to the
council’s executive secretary. Questions about the meetings or requests

The
ERISA Advisory Council consists of 15 members, appointed to staggered
three-year terms by the Secretary of Labor to provide advice on policies
and regulations affecting employee benefit plans sponsored by
private-sector employers. The members represent the general public,
employers, employee organizations, and the fields of insurance, corporate
trust, investment management, investment counseling, accounting and
actuarial counseling. |
