In recognition of the park's first 100 years and National Junior Ranger Day, the Monument is offering free tours on Saturday, April 26, 2008.

The centennial celebration continues at Jewel Cave - the Monument will be offering free cave tours on Saturday, March 15, 2008.

Centennial Celebration: Jewel Cave National Monument celebrates 100 years! A special program to commemorate the anniversary begins on February 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.

December 13, 2007

Holiday Closure: Superintendent Todd Suess has announced that the Visitor Center and cave tours at Jewel Cave National Monument will be closed on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25, 2007, as well as Tuesday, January 1, 2008.

November 30, 2007

Improvements to the cave lighting system will result in temporary cancellation of tours and programs at Jewel Cave in December.

In honor of Veterans Day, Jewel Cave and Wind Cave honor military personnel with free tours on Sunday, November 11. Cave tours are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Winter Tour Schedule - beginning October 28, the Visitor Center is open daily except for Thanksgiving Day, December 24 & 25, and January 1. Scenic Tours and Discovery Talks are offered during normal business hours. New in 2007 - 2008, the Spelunking Tour will be available during the winter season.

Fee Free Day Jewel Cave National Monument Superintendent Todd Suess today announced the Monument will be waiving fees for cave tours on Saturday, September 30 in recognition of National Public Lands Day.
