Subject: Rule 14a8

July 23, 2007

SEC Chairman and Commissioners:

As treasurer of a faith-based institutional investor I strongly urge you not to allow Rule 14a8 to pass. The filing of shareholder resolutions is a voice for justice in our economic system. Eliminating our rights as investors to petition the board and management of corporations and to dialogue with them about significant justice issues for workers and others affected by the corporation's actions would be a disastrous step backwards.

We strongly oppose any move to take away shareholder rights to file advisory resolutions. Corporations already have taken over the government; please do not give them more power.
