Percentage derived from non-exempt "Covered Fleet" which is light-duty vehicles (8,500 GVWR or less), net of geographical waivers and exemptions for law enforcement and emergency vehicles. Credits are provided for mid and heavy duty AFV purchases and biodiesel fuel use in motor vehicle.

Increase in annual AF consumption as projected from 2005

Increase in annual AF fuel consumption (as percentage of all fuel use) as projected from 2005.

Green:  AF use must increase 10% over previous year and be ≥ 5% of total fuel use.
Yellow:  AF use must increase 10% over previous year and be < 5% of total fuel use.
