MOTOR VEHICLE/EQUIPMENT OPERATOR SAFETY TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

NOTE: Operation of any type of motor vehicle or motor equipment is prohibited without the safety training shown here, 321 FW 1, and other applicable Service policies (e.g., 243 FW 1-5). All training must be properly documented for all employees and volunteers.

Basic Training

Refresher Training

Motor Vehicle:	Full-time	As needed for State license.	None unless required by supervisor.
	Incidental	As needed for State license.	None unless required by supervisor.
	Commercial	As needed for commercial license.	None unless required by supervisor.
Motor Equipment: Heavy Duty	Full-time	3 hours pre-class study 4 hours classroom 1 hour operating w/ instructor	Pending completion of course.
Motor Equipment: Heavy Duty	Incidental	3 hours pre-class study 4 hours classroom 1 hour operating w/ instructor	Pending completion of course.
Motor Equipment: Light Duty	Full-time	3 hours pre-class study 4 hours classroom 1 hour operating w/ instructor	1 hour pre-class study 2 hours classroom 1 hour operating w/ instructor
