  • Online registration is now open for HRPP 201 in Washington DC March 2-3. Click here for more information and to register. HRPP 201 will be offered again July 14-15 and November 2-3 2009 in Washington DC. This course is targeted for people with a couple years experience with Human Research Protections, and builds upon the HRPP 101 course.
  • Registration is now closed for the 2009 ORD Local Accountability for Research Meeting scheduled for January 13-14, 2009 in Baltimore. However, you can still submit your travel estimate for ORD travel reimbursement.
  • Registration for HRPP 101 is now closed. The next HRPP 101 training is planned for April 28-29, and September 15-16 2009 in Washington DC. Everyone new to HRPP programs is welcome to attend.

  • VHA Directive 2008-072 - Research Personnel Notification of Pharmacy Benefits Management and VHA Directive 2008-064 - Research Compliance Officers and the Auditing of VHA Human Subjects Research to Determine Compliance with Applicable Laws, Regulations, and Policies, has been approved for publication.

Overview
The Program for Research Integrity Development & Education (PRIDE) is a VA office whose mission is to protect participants in VA human research. PRIDE is responsible for all policy development and guidance, and all training and education in human research protection throughout the VA.

Vision
PRIDE's Vision is to make VA human research as safe as possible. We are excited to be working closely with the talented and dedicated people at the VISN and local levels to create a culture of shared responsibility and accountability that holds the protection of VA human research participants as its highest goal.

The work of developing policies, guidance, education and training will be carried out by PRIDE and the Center on Advice and Compliance Help (COACH).
