Web-based Invoicing System (WIS)

General Information
The Web-based Invoicing System (WIS) was designed to permit authorized CLP laboratories to generate and submit invoices via the Internet. This Internet-based solution has minimum startup costs for the laboratories, requiring only a low-end computer, Internet access, and a Web browser. Encryption and authentication techniques have been incorporated to ensure secure transmission of confidential and sensitive invoice information over the Internet.
Often, laboratories are required to resubmit invoices because of errors on original submissions. WIS minimizes the need for resubmission by providing access to a CLP database that contains information on the analytical data previously submitted by a laboratory and all data contractually required on their invoices. The interactive nature of this system allows the laboratory to build an invoice from the information that is already in the EPA Analytical Services Branch (ASB) database which is based on the original submission of analytical results.
System Requirements
The following items are required in order to access WIS:

A computer with at least 64MB of RAM;

Access to the Internet;

Netscape 6.0 (or Internet Explorer 5.0) with 128-bit encryption; and

A valid WIS User ID and password.

Deployment Status
WIS has been successfully deployed onto the National Technical Service Division (NTSD) production servers at Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. WIS is available to all CLP laboratories. Use the button below to access WIS.
