EcoHelpers: Restoration Program

EcoHelpers is an ecological restoration program at Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. It provides field trips designed to bring Los Angeles and Ventura County high school students into the park. The EcoHelpers Program teaches students the importance of maintaining a healthy watershed and allow them to actively participate in the restoration process. Students help restore disturbed parkland while and enhance wildlife habitats while learning about the importance of watershed conservation. Field trips take place at various park sites within the mountains and free bus transportation may be provided.
