Becoming an EPA Scientist

If you love the environment and science, you may want to consider a career combining the two at the EPA. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) relies on sound science to safeguard both human health and the environment. The work done in EPA’s laboratories, research centers, and offices across the country helps improve the quality of air, water, soil, and the way we use resources. Applying science builds our understanding of how to protect and enhance the relationship between humans and the ecosystems of Earth.

EPA Student Summer Employment Opportunities Web site is now up and running. The site provides a centralized Web portal through which students may enter to learn about EPA offices and summer employment opportunities. Having a central portal makes it easier for students to find information about specific work areas of interest. They also are able to submit job applications directly to the EPA offices with vacancies. The direct link to the Summer Employment Opportunities Web site is http://www.epa.gov/ohr/student/. It will be available until May 29, 2009
