100 Percent Day (Computer Collection/Reuse Event)
Throughout the U.S.
The Computer Reuse Coalition is sponsoring 100 Percent Day, an effort to collect 100,000 PC's throughout the U.S. to increase the public's involvement in reusing working computers, when possible, prior to recycling. On average, 100,000 PCs are taken out of service on a daily basis in the United States. If just 10% of those computers were refurbished, more than 3.5 million computers could be provided to schools and low income families by the end of the decade.
