New Performance Track Members, February 2007
From leading food and beverage companies to a major automobile manufacturer, 55 new facilities have joined the ranks of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's National Environmental Performance Track.
About Performance Track
Performance Track is a partnership program to recognize and reward private and public facilities that demonstrate strong environmental performance beyond current requirements. The 470 Performance Track members have set three-year goals for continuous improvements in environmental performance beyond their legal requirements, have internal systems in place to manage their environmental impacts, and work within their communities.
In February 2007, EPA announced its 13th Round of Performance Track members. Forty-seven of the 55 new members have committed to reduce their waste generation over the next three years; 37 facilities plan to reduce energy use; 25 facilities pledge to reduce their water use; and 17 facilities have committed to reduce their air emissions. Sixteen of the 55 new members committed to focus on EPA-defined regional and national environmental priorities.
The EPA press release announcing Round 13 members provides more information.
