- From 2000-2007, Performance Track members that set goals for this indicator decreased their generation of non-hazardous waste by a cumulative total of 1,261,006 tons. See the data table for details.
- If the members had instead continued with business as usual, they
would have increased their generation of non-hazardous waste by 1,920,488 tons over the three years.
- Waste results for members that joined Performance Track prior to 2004 assume that these facilities reported on a change in the amount of waste generated, because recycled quantities were not provided.
- Goals to improve waste management methods were not included in the analysis, as these goals were not projected to change the amount of waste generated.
