Natural Landscaping for Local Officials - A Source Book
A source book for local government officials was developed by the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC) from a multi-media grant from US EPA Region 5 and Office of Mobile Sources (OMS). The purpose of the source book is to provide local officials with information that will encourage local governments to participate in and support natural landscaping projects. the source book promotes natural landscaping as an approach for:

The source book contains a slide show, a promotional brochure highlighting the environmental and economic benefits of native landscaping, and a source book that includes information on landscape management techniques, resources, model ordinances, and suggestions on how to incorporate natural landscaping into local
government programs.
