Clackamas County (OR) Soil & Water Conservation District

(PESP Supporter since August 2005)

The Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District's mission is to assist the communities and landowners in their efforts to conserve, restore, enhance and protect the natural resources of Clackamas County, Oregon.

District was created by Clackamas County voters in 1958. Since then, the District has been promoting and implementing voluntary natural resource conservation projects with landowners by providing leadership, education, outreach, and improved access to state and federal cost share assistance in both urban and rural communities.

Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District plays a lead role in the locally led conservation process by working with landowners to meet their conservation objectives. One-on-one interaction with the Soil and Water Conservation District offers the landowner the information they need to change their behavior and take voluntary action to reduce their impacts to non-point source water pollution.
