2008 Incentive Funding Program Accomplishments

BLM’s 2008 “Take It Outside: Connect With Your Public Lands” incentive funding program exceeded expectations. $225,785 was awarded to 60 field projects which created opportunities for over 35,000 kids and their families to participate in outdoor and stewardship activities on BLM public lands. 

BLM's  $225,785 investment leveraged nearly $2 million in external cash and/or in-kind donations. Each funded project represents an important investment in the future generations and will provide benefits for many years to come. 

2008 “Take It Outside” Activities 

Here is a list of field projects that created opportunities for over 35,000 kids and their families to participate in outdoor and stewardship activities on BLM public lands.
