The initial focus of this prototype "best practices online" system is professional development, with literacy, technology, and other topics to follow.

The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC), the most comprehensive index of education-related literature in the world, provides an online searchable database.

The Virtual Reference Desk (VRD) provides a digital reference service designed to answer the questions of students and educators by connecting them to a network of experts.

ED Pubs enables users to order online the Department of Education's publications, posters, videos, and other products.
