Large Wildland Fires - A Burning Issue

Close up of intense wildfire burning in sage steppe

BLM Twin Falls District in partnership
with the Idaho Rangeland Resource Commission hosts a workshop
May 12 - 14, 2009
Canyon Crest Center
Twin Falls

Just in the Jarbidge Field Office, a number of large wildland fires in recent years have rapidly burned thousands of acres of Idaho rangelands, continuing to trouble private landowners, public agencies, and American taxpayers.

The workshop will explore how land managers and researchers are responding to the challenges these fires create and provide information on coping with their effects.

REGISTRATION for the workshop closed on April 30th.
