4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a specific cooperative agreement between ARS and University of Idaho. Additional details of research can be found in the report for the parent project 5358-21000-034-00D, Production Systems to Promote Yield and Quality of Grapes in the Pacific Northwest. Research in the 2.5 acre wine grape vineyard in Parma at the University of Idaho experiment station included:. 1)a replicated irrigation trial with Viognier and Merlot with or without a Kaolin particle film,. 2)the third year of data collection for horticultural attributes to ascertain local adaptation of 40 own-rooted cultivars. 3)maintaining a collection of phylloxera and nematode resistant rootstock. Grapes were harvested at commercial maturity and evaluated in the Parma ARS laboratory for quality attributes.
