NUSA Re-certification

The Networking with the USA (NUSA) program serves as an interface between the Nigerian private sector and the U.S. market. Thus, it gives indispensable assurances to U.S. exporters and investors, as well as U.S. government agencies.

Under the current reorganization of the NUSA program, Nigerian companies will be listed in our database for 18 months, after which they will be required to apply for the revalidation of their registration. This is an important requirement for the following reasons: 

  • Some of the NUSA members might have diversified their business.
  • The ownership or management of the companies might have changed within the last 18 months.
  • We need to assure U.S. companies and government agencies that we have up to date knowledge on the Nigerian companies that we refer to them.

Upgrade of membership – from basic to enhanced – during revalidation is allowed, but this is the discretion of the NUSA member.

The revalidation of NUSA membership under BASIC category involves a non-refundable sum of USD 200 or Nigerian Naira 27,000, while ENHANCED revalidation costs USD 500 or Nigerian Naira 66,000.

On the whole, revalidation of membership will give you unlimited access to our full range of services and other benefits. However, failure to renew your registration after 18 months may lead to suspension of support and assistance of our office, and possible loss of credibility required for business transactions with the U.S. business community.

You can now complete and submit your online re-certification form following the guidelines below. Please be sure that you do NOT skip any step in submitting your application, as failure to adhere to this directive may result in rejection of your application.

First, you will have to make web payment using an ATM card from any of the 25 banks on Interswitch network, by clicking the following link BUYUSA.GOV Nigeria UBA

Alternatively, you may visit any of the designated UBA branches to make cash payment and obtain a receipt which (receipt) number you will have to enter in the application field requiring evidence of payment. Second, upon obtaining confirmation (or receipt) of payment, return to our BUYUSA.GOV Nigeria and complete the online NUSA application. Please ensure the application is properly filled out including the receipt number as indicated in the receipt.

Following your successful submission of online application, print out the notification message for future reference – in case this becomes necessary.
