By Alli Joseph

Men, don your tight jeans and cold showers: Maxim's annual Hot 100 list has come out -- and refreshingly, the ladies are not all boobs. But most of them are.

Olivia Jane Cockburn, aka, Olivia Wilde, is still, er, setting crotches afire. She's bounced up to number one on the list this year from 61 in 2005, and this arctic beauty has a pretty heavy intellectual pedigree.

With family members who are journalists and political pundits, this Phillips Academy grad -- known for her roles on House M.D. and for making out with Mischa Barton on the O.C. -- takes her stage name from the great Oscar Wilde.

Best Public Service Announcements of the 1980's

May 14th 2009 10:50AM
By Sean Madden

If you are a child of the 1980's like I am, you have seen some pretty crazy TV. Nothing was weirder then the public service announcements or PSA's that were played as we watched G.I. Joe or Transformers.

At the age of eight, I learned about venereal disease or why Pee Wee Herman thought it was bad to do crack cocaine. Looking back, was I way too young for this or did it do the job? I mean I never had a problem with either.

Here are a few of my favorites from the 1980's:

George Lucas, Talk Dirty to Me - Today Is/Was May 14, 2009

May 14th 2009 10:43AM
By Fletch

Other than the Jumping Frog Jubilee and the formation of Israel, there aren't any big holidays today so we're going to focus on celebrity birthdays as surrogate holidays. May 14th seems like a good opportunity for an entrepreneur to invent a holiday, preferably a holiday that involves cards or other revenue schemes.

Star Wars creator George Lucas turns 65 today, which deserves some sort of Jedi holiday observance, right? 'Talk Dirty to Me' C. C. DeVille of Poison fame turns 47 which is a good day to spandex-up, tease your hair and party like a rock star.

Today could be International Hottie Day celebrating the birthdays of hottie actress Martine McCutcheon from Echo Beach and Love, Actually and hottie Amber Tamblyn from The Unusuals who is is actually an amazing poet as well.

Happy International Hottie Jedi Talk Dirty Day!

Comedian Brad Aldous Clowns Around With Britney Spears & Other Hotties

May 14th 2009 10:33AM
By Corn Mo

I met Brad Aldous years ago in the clown alley of a Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Circus when the circus came through Dallas.

Outside of the circus, we hung out and did stupid and crazy things, like lighting firecrackers in the butt, swallowing bars of margarine and other things that people shouldn't do. I don't think Brad did any of these things but one of his colleagues, Steve-O, did.

In recent years, he's been doing stand-up comedy and writing for television. He's also been directing music videos and films. Right now he's using his clown skills again for Britney Spears' Circus Tour.

NBA's Most Valuable Player LeBron James is leading his Cleveland Cavaliers charging through the playoffs and many expect his team to be in the finals, if not win it all.

So what's next for King James? How about his own cocktail?

The origin of the LeBomb James Cocktail as it's called is as mysterious as Area 51 or Stonehenge. Many people on the Web claim to have invented the drink, and some switch an ingredient or two. If you're feeling like a dunk, here is the most common way it is made:

Katy Perry is always one to speak her mind. The "Hot & Cold" singer recently announced a vow of celibacy after the break up of her boyfriend. That vow lasted roughly a week when she informed her Twitter audience that she was only joking.

Perry is now wearing a ring on her finger that she believes will protect her from Swine Flu. She says swine flu is super trendy right now, and she wants to be in on the crazy. The ring is of a flying pig which she purchased while in Miami, Fla.

Craigslist Changes Adult Erotic Services With Hands-On Review

May 13th 2009 4:34PM
By Sean Madden

From car parts to baseball cards, you can find just about anything you need on Craigslist, but it also has a dark side. The personals area of the website created by Craig Newmark (pictured) also has an 'erotic services' section. The ads posted here, often featuring nudity, have long upset watch groups as well as lawmakers.

Connecticut State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal led a 40-state task-force with the goal of having Craigslist change the way they do business. Starting in the next few days, the "erotic services" section will be replaced by a more vague sounding "adult services" category.

The biggest change is that each ad will be individually screened by Craigslist staff members.

Lebowskifest Co-Creator Will Russell Celebrates 'The Big Lebowski'

May 13th 2009 4:16PM
By Corn Mo

A few years ago, I got to play a festival in Louisville, Ky. along with They Might Be Giants and discovered Lebowski Fest: attendees listened to music, watched the movie, The Big Lebowski, outdoors against the Ohio River and the following day, festival goers went bowling, some dressed as characters from the movie. The bartenders made a lot of White Russians, The Dude's drink of choice. Oh, and I got to meet the real dude that the character was based on.

The creators of this grand event were really nice and I was reminded of how great a scene there is in Louisville. Lebowskifest soon spread to other cities and is now touring the U.S. It is a really, really good time.

One of the creators of Lebowskifest, Will Russell, was cool enough to answer some questions about Lebowskifest.

Hot Dogs: Next Gourmet Food? Plus Fro-Yo Madness & More

Eat It

May 13th 2009 1:53PM
By Tami Yu

The age of the healthy gourmet hot dog is officially here. The slow food movement must be really sticking with this food genre, as chefs are making franks from scratch.

Made in-house, you will see mystery meat fillers disappear. Expect to see ingredients such as heritage Berkshire pork, American Kobe or other types of pasture-raised meat combination. Exotic spices, like smoked paprika and organic herbs, have also become part of the recipe.
