EPA's Tribal Border Infrastructure program has provided $29.4 million to address high priority water and wastewater infrastructure needs for U.S. tribes along the border. A total of 42 projects were funded, providing basic sanitation and/or access to safe drinking water for 8,114 tribal homes at a cost of $3,623 per home.
The Border Environment Infrastructure Fund (BEIF)/ Project Development Assistance Program (PDAP) report contains detailed information about the program and individual projects funded, as well as results of FY05/06 BEIF/PDAP Prioritization process for drinking water and wastewater projects.
