MBN is financed through a grant from the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency funded by the U.S. Congress. The BBG oversees MBN and acts as a firewall to protect the professional independence and integrity of the broadcasters.

The Pan Arab Awards aim to promote the innovative spirit of web designers, professional and international standards in the Arab media market, intellectual and production opportunities, an interactive community, and recognition of the work being done in Arab media.
