Airlines Procurement Program -- Aircraft/Aircraft Parts, Airport/Ground Support Eq., Aviation Services, Security/Safety Eq., Telecommunications Eq.
Location/Date: D.F., Mexico 06/24/2009 - 06/25/2009
Event Summary:
Mexican Aviation has grown significantly over the last decade as Mexico increased their aerospace imports from the United States and as low cost airlines appeared in the market. From 1990-2006, export sales from the U.S. to Mexico grew by an annual average of nearly 24%. In 2006, Mexican businesses doubled their purchase of U.S. aerospace products from the previous year, which is a jump from 17th to the 11th largest consumer of U.S. aerospace purchases. The two principal Mexican airlines that serve as the primary competition are Aeromexico and Mexicana. These airlines generated around $3.3B in operating revenue during 2006, transporting customers both domestically and abroad. In 2007, the Mexican Government privatized AeroMexico and is requiring the new, private owners to invest heavily in the airline.

The Airlines Procurement Program is a trade event geared to aquisition needs of Mexico's largest airlines. Meetings with direct purchasing executives will be arranged for those products, services, and/or systems in which airlines have a particular interest.
