Fort Carson, Colo., solar project photos

A new, 2-megawatt, ground mounted solar photovoltaic array occupies the site of a former landfill at
Ft. Carson, Colo.

Covering nearly 12 acres, the solar photovoltaic array is the largest solar array at a U.S. Army facility
and one of the largest in Colorado.

Western helped facilitate the Ft. Carson project by using its power marketing authority to develop the
purchase power contract with the vendor and two interagency agreements to buy power generated by
the array as supplemental energy for Ft. Carson and install communications and metering equipment.
