Award Information

The APEX Awards: The APEX Awards for publication excellence are sponsored by the editors of Writing That Works: The Business Communications Report. The annual awards program recognizes excellence in publications work by professional communicators in 11 major categories such as print, Web, video, campaigns, writing, design.

Aurora Awards: The Aurora Awards recognize local, regional, independent, and industrial excellence in commercials, cable programming, documentaries, industrial, instructional and corporate videos.

Capital Regional Emmy Awards: The Washington, DC Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awards the Emmy in recognition of television excellence.

CINDY Competition: The International Association of Audio Visual Communicators (IAAVC), a nonprofit group representing theatrical, broadcast, nonbroadcast, and interactive media professionals throughout the world, presents the CINDY Awards twice-a-year.

CINE Competition: CINE is known for the Golden Eagles it awards for excellence in documentary and other informational film and video production.

Columbus International Film and Video Awards (a.k.a. The Chris Awards): The Columbus Film Council encourages and promotes the use of 16 millimeter motion pictures and videotape in all forms of education and communication, not only in the local community but throughout the world.

Communicator Awards: The Communicator Awards is an international awards program founded by communications professionals to recognize excellence in their field.

INTERCOM Awards: The INTERCOM Awards are presented at the annual Chicago International Film Festival, recognizing technical excellence and creativity behind sponsored productions and highlighting the importance of the media arts in communications.

Omni Awards: The Omni Awards were created to recognize the accomplishments of outstanding media production in a variety of fields.

Peer Awards: The Peer Awards honor Washington, DC's best in programs that cover the gamut--from documentaries to experimental productions and the best scriptwriters, editors, composers, directors, and directors of photography.

SUPERFEST: The Corporation on Disabilities and Telecommunications produces this annual International Media Festival on Disabilities. SUPERFEST honors works that positively and realistically portray the disability experience or warrant technical merit.

Telly Awards: The competitive Telly awards for the television, commercial, and video industry received over 11,000 entries in 2001.

U.S. International Film and Video Festival: The U.S. International Film and Video Festival is a worldwide competition for business, industrial, documentary, and instructional television production.

Videographer Awards: The Videographer Awards identifies communications professionals who are raising the standards of the industry and gives winners and their clients the recognition that the work they are producing is highly regarded by their peers.

WorldFest Houston/WorldFest Flagstaff: In its 34th year of operation, WorldFest has discovered some of the top directors and filmmakers in the world today.
