FY-2006 FRPP Unfunded Easement Application Information

The following maps display information on unfunded Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) easement applications for FY 2006.

These maps give a "snapshot" in time and do not reflect the true demand for the FRPP funds in 2005; demand far exceeded what these maps represent. Due to the limited amount of Federal funds available and the timing of the RFP, many State and local farmland protection organizations limited their request for Federal funds in 2006.

The program helps farmers and ranchers keep their land in agriculture. FRPP provides matching funds to State, Tribal, or local governments and non-governmental organizations with existing farmland protection programs to purchase conservation easements.
