Moorhead, MN -- The time for visiting the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Roseau County is getting shorter. Individuals and business owners have until August 9 to meet face-to-face with recovery specialists at the DRC at Ram's Sports Center at 809 - 6th Street NE in Roseau. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Even though the center will close at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 9, help is still as close as a telephone call. Anyone with questions about federal and state recovery assistance programs or the status of their applications may call the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) toll-free registration number at 1-800-621-3362 or (TTY) 1-800-462-7585. The telephone numbers are operational from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until further notice.

To date, 4,047 individuals and business owners in the declared counties have registered for disaster assistance, and 1,763 individuals have visited the Roseau center.

Disaster assistance programs include housing assistance, grants for serious needs and necessary expenses not covered by insurance or other programs, and low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for flood-damaged residential and business property. Disaster unemployment assistance, tax assistance and other services are also available to people affected by the disaster.
