West Salem, WI -- Federal and state disaster recovery programs have disbursed nearly $13.5 million dollars to date to individuals and government entities located in the State of Wisconsin. President Bush's May 11, disaster declaration made residents and business owners in 18 counties eligible for disaster assistance. Units of government in 32 counties affected by flooding and tornadoes also received grant funds.

The breakdown is as follows:

Homeowners, renters and businesses in the designated counties who have not registered may call FEMA toll free 1--800-- 462--9029. The TTY number for the hearing or speech--impaired is 1--800 462--7585. Individuals and businesses have until 6 p.m. Friday, August 10 to apply for grants and loans made available under the President's declaration.
