ROCKFORD, Ill. -- During the third week of October, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) hazard mitigation teams will be making their last stops at home improvement centers to distribute information.

Information is offered to everyone about steps individuals can take to protect homes and businesses from future storm and flood damage, about disaster assistance and flood insurance. FEMA representatives will be at home improvement stores from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following locations and days:

FEMA coordinates the federal government’s role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
