Dane Disaster Recovery Center Staying Open Two More Days

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- In order to meet the ongoing needs in Dane and nearby counties, the Disaster Recovery Center in Madison will stay open this week through Thursday, September 20, 2007.

The Dane County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is located at the Robertson Road Facility, 4318 Robertson Rd, Madison, WI 53714. This DRC will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Thursday at 7 p.m.

When the DRC closes, representatives of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will remain at the location, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday until further notice, to assist homeowners, renters and businesses with completing and accepting their loan applications.

Disaster Recovery Centers offer a single location where many types of recovery information are available and people are able to talk face-to-face with disaster recovery specialists. Visitors can receive help filling out disaster loan applications from the SBA or check on the status of disaster assistance applications. Information is available about:

Anyone affected by the flooding is urged to register their damage online anytime at www.fema.gov or by calling the toll-free telephone line, 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily. For those with special speech or hearing needs, the TTY number is 1-800-462-7585.
