FINDLAY, Ohio -- The mobile Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Mansfield will stay open two more days, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Ohio Emergency Management Agency announced today.

The facility - a one-stop location for help and information regarding state, federal and volunteer disaster assistance programs - is located in the parking lot outside the Richland County Transit building at 232 N. Main St., Mansfield, OH 44902.

"The facility was scheduled to operate for three days only," said Federal Coordinating Officer Jesse Munoz of FEMA, "but we want to make sure we're available for everyone who needs help or needs answers."

The mobile center is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, as originally scheduled, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17 and 18.

In addition, on Monday, Sept. 17, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is opening a Disaster Loan Outreach Center at the Braintree Center for Business Innovation, 201 E. 5th St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

People can speak to SBA customer service representatives at either location - the mobile DRC or the Disaster Loan Outreach Center.

Before visiting a DRC, anyone who lives in a declared county and sustained losses or damages during the severe storms and flooding of Aug. 20-28, should take the first step to recovery by registering with FEMA. To register:

The eight counties declared eligible for federal disaster assistance for individuals and families are Allen, Crawford, Hancock, Hardin, Putnam, Richland, Seneca and Wyandot.
