Research Project: Cooperative Research for Screening and Development of Wheat Germplasm with Improved Resistance to Stripe Rust

4d.Progress report.
This report serves to document research conducted under a specific cooperative agreement between ARS and the University of Arkansas. Additional details of research may be found in the report for the parent CRIS 6645-22000-015-00D Improvement and Genotyping of Cereal Germplasm and Epidemiology of Cereal Diseases. The objective of this research is to evaluate and identify sources of resistance to wheat stipe rust. In FY2006, the Uniform Eastern Stripe Rust Nursery was planted, managed and evaluated at two locations in Georgia. Data were collected and summarized. Over 80 new sources of resistance to stripe rust were identified.
