Additional Disaster Recovery Centers to Open Thursday

Denton, Texas -- The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Governor's Division of Emergency Management (GDEM) announced today the opening of two additional Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) to serve those affected by the flooding of June 16-18 in Tarrant, Denton, Coryell and Lampasas Counties.

DRCs provide residents an opportunity to meet face to face with representatives from state and federal agencies to find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process. Customer service representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be on hand to help renters, homeowners and businesses fill out loan applications and answer questions. Residents can visit any DRC location that is convenient for them.

The Disaster Recovery Center serving Denton and Tarrant Counties will be in a fixed location at:
5517 Denton Hwy (US-377)
Old Ready Mix Admin Bldg
Haltom City, Texas 76148

The DRC will be open Thursday, July 5th from 8a.m. to 6 p.m.
Daily hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.

The Disaster Recovery Center serving Coryell and Lampasas Counties will be a mobile site located at:

The DRC will be open Thursday, July 5th from Noon to 6 p.m.
Daily hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.

Before visiting a DRC, individuals should register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those who are hearing or speech-impaired. The FEMA application line is open 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time seven days a week, until further notice. You can also register online at www.fema.gov.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
