Directions from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport to Athens, GA
- Riverdale Road GA 139
- Turn left onto Riverdale Road
- Turn left onto I-285 East (Macon, Augusta); begin moving to the left immediately...left 3 lanes are I-285.
- I-285 to I-20 East (Augusta), Exit 46-B.
- I-20 East to GA 138 East (Conyers), Exit 82.
- GA 138 East to US 78 East (Monroe).
- US 78 East (Athens) to GA 316 East. (See Athens map below)
- GA 316 East to GA 10 Loop (Athens Perimeter Bypass) - See Athens Map below
- Take GA 10 Loop South (78 East / 29 North) for 5 miles to the College Station Road exit. Turn right onto College Station and continue for about ¼ mile (you will cross a bridge). After the bridge, the Southeast Poultry Research Lab is the 2nd facility on the right (located at the top of the hill), indicated by a large sign at the street. Visitor parking is located near the front entrance.
Directions from North Atlanta to Athens, GA
- I-85 north to 316 east (to Athens)
- GA 316 East to GA 10 Loop (Athens Perimeter Bypass) - See Athens Map below
- Take GA 10 Loop South (78 East / 29 North) for 5 miles to the College Station Road exit. Turn right onto College Station and continue for about ¼ mile (you will cross a bridge). Directions to Downtown Athens from GA 316

- Take GA 10 Loop North to the "West Bus. 78 / 10 Athens / Winder" exit. Turn right onto East Bus. 78 / East 10. This road becomes Broad Street before you get to downtown Athens. There are several hotels/motels on Broad Street downtown.
Directions from Downtown Athens to the Southeast Poultry Research Lab
(See Athens map below)
- Travel East on Broad Street in the right-hand lane.
- Go past the University of Georgia Main Campus (on right), and continue to light at S. Thomas St.
- Sharp right onto S. Thomas St. which becomes East Campus Road at the first light.
- Continue on East Campus Road to the fifth light and make a left turn onto College Station Road.
- Continue on College Station Road for about 1 mile (you will cross a bridge).
- After the bridge, the Southeast Poultry Research Lab is the 2nd facility on the right (located at the top of the hill), indicated by a large sign at the street. Visitor parking is located near the front entrance.
