I started investing in stocks in 2003, and lost a lot of money before I became aware of what was going on with NSS. I am completely amazed that the SEC has allowed these criminals to do their dirty work without penalty for such a long time. One good example of SEC failure is the "grandfather clause" which let these criminals go even longer, if ever, before having to cover their illegal shorts. Needless to say, I am very much in favor of any rules, regulations, or laws that will shut down the NSS practice.
