Research Project: Flavor Quality Evaluation of Citrus Fruit Breeding Lines

Objective:
Establish flavor profiles of selected tangerine lines from the university breeding program by sensory and chemical analyses in order to develop cultivars with superior flavor.

Approach:
Tangerine samples from the university breeding program will be sampled biweekly throughout the season, 20 fruit per line, and will be analyzed by a trained sensory panel and for chemical flavor and color components.
