CIESIN Demographic Data Cartogram Service (DDCarto): Provided by Columbia University, includes information on Minnesota.

Minnesota Data Center: Provides a subject index with extensive links to state and local demographic and socioeconomic data and to publications of the State Demographic Center and a range of other agencies, including Census 2000 data for Minnesota. Many of these documents are Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files. Located in the state Department of Administration.

Minnesota Demographic, Mortality, and Health Profiles: The Department of Health publishes demographic, mortality, and health profiles, including some social and medical assistance program participation statistics, by county.

Minnesota Social Assistance Reports and Forecasts: The Department of Human Services publishes social assistance reports and forecasts, by county.

MinnStats: Minnesota Statistics

Statistical Abstract: Minnesota publishes a statistical abstract every year or few years. The Census Bureau publishes a guide to the most recent editions.

Office of Social and Economic Trend Analysis: Office at Iowa State University, which "collects, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates information on social, economic, and demographic trends," is a well-organized site containing county-level data for states in the Midwestern region; information is most complete for Iowa but a selection of Census information for other Midwestern states, such as Minnesota, is also easily accessible through this site.

USDA: Food and Nutrition Services: Minnesota

Kaiser Family Foundation Heath Facts: Provides health statistics on programs such as Medicaid.

Minnesota Education Data and Reports: The Department of Education provides data and reports on school and student characteristics and school finance.

Minnesota School District Demographics: This links to the main page for the maps. Select "Minnesota" and proceed. Provided by the National Center for Education Statistics.

Annie E. Casey Foundation Kidscount CLIKS database: Provides county, city, and community level indicators of children's well-being in Minnesota. The site allows users to create specific tables and graphs in many combinations and comparative formats; data were assembled through the national Kidscount Network, and the availability of particular indicators varies among states.

National Child Care Information Center: Provides demographic information about the children, families and child care in Minnesota, as well as contact information for different state agencies involved in child care. The profiles also contain links to additional state and national resources.

Children, Youth and Family Consortium: The Children, Youth and Family Consortium at the University of Minnesota bridge a wide range of information and resources about children and families.

Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs: The Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, at the University of Minnesota, examines public issues and shapes public policy at the local, state, national, and international levels.
