Kaiser Family Foundation Heath Facts: Provides health statistics on programs such as Medicaid. Michigan Performance Levels and Characteristics: Detailed information about performance levels and characteristics of Michigan schools and school districts is available on the Web through Michigan's contract with Standard & Poor's School Evaluation Service. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, is a resource for state and local policy. The mission of CLOSUP is to understand problems facing states, cities, and metropolitan areas and seek effective solutions to them. The Center for Political Studies: The Center for Political Studies at the University of Michigan analyzes interactions among institutions, political processes and individuals. Center for Urban Studies: The Center for Urban Studies at Wayne State University provides innovative responses to urban challenges and opportunities. Center on Poverty, Risk, and Mental Health: The Center on Poverty, Risk, and Mental Heath is a part of the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan. The Center’s aim is to develop knowledge on the relationship between poverty and mental health that can be used to inform practice and policy. Institute for Public Policy and Social Research: The Institute for Public Policy and Social Research at Michigan State University is a center for research and policy discussion. Institute for Social Research: This Institute at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor is the nation's longest-standing laboratory for interdisciplinary research in the social sciences. Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR): ICPSR is a unit within the Institute for Social Research, at the University of Michigan; it is membership based, with over 500 member colleges and universities. ICPSR maintains and provides access to an archive of social science data for research and instruction, and offers training in quantitative methods. Michigan Center on the Demography of Aging: This center at the University of Michigan is one of eleven centers on aging sponsored by the National Institute on Aging. Two focus areas include socioeconomic status and health and aging of disadvantaged populations. The Research Center for Group Dynamics: The Research Center for Group Dynamics at the University of Michigan provides research that advances the understanding of human behavior in a societal context.
