Indiana Demographic and Employment Statistics: The Indiana Department of Workforce Development publishes demographic and employment statistics for counties, MSAs, and regions.

Office of Social and Economic Trend Analysis: Office at Iowa State University, which "collects, analyzes, interprets, and disseminates information on social, economic, and demographic trends," is a well-organized site containing county-level data for states in the Midwestern region; information is most complete for Iowa but a selection of Census information for other Midwestern states, such as Indiana, is also easily accessible through this site.

Annie E. Casey Foundation Kidscount CLIKS database: Provides county, city, and community level indicators of children's well-being in Indiana. The site allows users to create specific tables and graphs in many combinations and comparative formats; data were assembled through the national Kidscount Network, and the availability of particular indicators varies among states.

National Child Care Information Center: Provides demographic information about the children, families and child care in Indiana, as well as contact information for different state agencies involved in child care. The profiles also contain links to additional state and national resources.

Applied Research and Education Center: The Applied Research and Education Center at the University of Indiana Southeast conducts research at the request of communities and neighborhoods.

Center for Families: The Center for Families at Purdue University seeks to improve the quality of life for Indiana families.

Center for Survey Research: Social science research facility at Indiana University that focuses on academic, social science, and public policy research.

Center for Urban Policy and the Environment: This research organization at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis provides policy analysis, program evaluation, and planning work for a wide variety of policy issues in the central Indiana area.

Community Research Institute: The Community Research Institute at the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne provides research and analytical support for northeast Indiana in areas such as socioeconomic data, public policy.

Institute for Family and Social Policy: The Institute for Family and Social Policy at Indiana University examines the impacts of welfare reforms, the adequacy of child support guidelines, community responses to the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families legislation, and AIDS education for incarcerated youth. The Institute serves as the National Child Support Enforcement Research Clearinghouse.

Karl K. Schuessler Institute of Social Research: Located at Indiana University – Bloomington, the sociology institute is home to several research centers and projects.

Public Opinion Laboratory: The Public Opinion Laboratory is an interdisciplinary survey research center at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
